description: bereits zum zweiten mal fand 2006 das groß angelegte arbeits- und präsentationsprojekt „jazzwerkstatt wien“ statt. durch das mitwirken des jungen grazer filmemachers julian stampfer, der mit 3 kameras das bunte treiben der über 200 aktiven musiker professionell einzufangen wusste, ermöglicht nun erstmals auch einen auf dvd dokumentierten einblick in das schaffen einer jungen österreichischen musikergeneration, die sich nicht zuletzt durch die ausdehnung und überwindung stilistischer grenzen auszeichnet. die beiträge dieser compilation können freilich nur einige höhepunkte aus 24 tagen programm herausheben und ihren teil zu einer breiten übersicht der "jazzwerkstatt wien 2006" leisten. beschreibung: 2006 was the second time around that the sizeable project for creation and presentation took place. the participation of the young graz-based filmmaker julian stampfer has enabled a documentation also on dvd for the first time. using three cameras, he knew how to capture the buzz of activities of the more than 200 musicians involved, a young generation of austrian musicians, who last but not least can be characterised by expanding and overcoming stylistic boundaries. the contributions of this compilation can of course only single out a few highlights of the 24-day program and contribution to an excitiong overview of "jazzwerkstatt wien 2006".
